Dual deck reading
When someone sits down to get a tarot reading from me at a metaphysical fair, they are getting a unique experience. I use two decks of cards to create the reading and what I look at is:
the internal identity of the person,
the external reality they are dealing with
and how both combine to create the outcome
What I’m really doing though is revealing the pattern of that person’s life at that point and creating an opportunity for them to choose whether they want to continue with that pattern or choose a different path.
When many people think of getting a divination reading, they think of it as getting a reading for the future, but that’s not what divination really is. Divination is ultimately about finding patterns in your life and revealing what is underneath those patterns. A good reading helps you come away with a different perspective of your situation and options you may not have considered.
The dual deck reading is one spread/design I apply to readings, but there are also others and each of them is designed to help a person change the design of their own life in a way that is proactive and responsive, instead of reactive. The benefit of approaching tarot readings this way is that it empowers the person to look deeply into their own life and change what isn’t working by using the reading as a guide.
